Mighty Muscles by Sue Gibbison

The article is about Muscles. The smallest muscle in our body is the Stapedius. The biggest muscle is our Gluteus Maximus. Cramp happen when a muscle stays tightly contracted. When we sleep our muscles relax and our breathing and heart rate slow down. It is important to warm up before we play. Stretching our muscles help to keep them flexible. We can eat healthy food like eggs, meat, fish and cheese to keep our muscles strong and healthy.

I liked this article because it teaches us about how to keep our muscles strong  and healthy.

The Experiment by Diana Noonan

Story Review

This story is about an experiment some children did at a school. In Winter, the children had hot food for lunch by heating their food in the pie warmer. Alisha did not have any food to put in the pie warmer, so her teacher wrapped her chocolate chip biscuit in a foil and put it in the pie warmer.
The characters in the story are mum, dad, children, Mr Swann and Alisha. This story takes place at the school in the countryside where children live on farms.
I liked the story because I like chocolate chip biscuits. I also like the way people live on a farm. My Nana and Grandpa live on a farm in Tonga.

Room 9’s Trip to the Stardome

On Thursday, the 9th of May, we  traveled to the Stardome by bus. When we got there, the Stardome Educator came and took us inside the Stardome.

When we were inside,we saw a movie on outer space. The movie was very interesting because it showed us different things about the planets in outer space.

Next, we went into the classroom and the Educator talked to us about the Sun, the Earth and the Moon. I learnt a lot about these planets.

Finally it was time to come back to school. We got onto the bus and came back to school.
